In Memoriam: Peggy Hall (1969-2013)
On Saturday, August 31, 2013, Peggy Hall died suddenly in her sleep at her home in Stevens Point, Wisconsin due to a pulmonary embolism. Peggy was born on April 21, 1969 in Tomah, Wisconsin. She and her husband Brian Hall married on April 6, 2005 in Sedona, Arizona. She and her husband both were students at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Peggy was a practicing Pagan for more than a dozen years and became part of the Circle Sanctuary Community in 2011. Peggy, whose life challenges included birth defects, being diabetic, and some other disabilities, advocated for the rights and well-being of the disabled. She loved Nature and was an advocate of natural burial.
Peggy's natural burial was held at Circle Cemetery on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 3 pm. A graveside memorial service and interment rite was conducted by Rev. Selena Fox of Circle Sanctuary, assisted by Rev. Bob Paxton and others. Her husband Brian, along with children Dillon Barker, Kristen Barker, Kaitlin Barker, and Collin Hall was present as well as friends and community members.

Some of my best childhood memories are of hanging out with Peg on her parents farm. We would saddle up a couple of horses and be gone all day in the great outdoors. May Peg find peace as she becomes one with nature. I regret that I will not be able to attend her burial. My thoughts and prayers for peg and her family. |

Peggy was a beautiful person with a heart of gold. Always wanting to do for others even when she was not feeling well. It took her coming to my moms funeral to see how bad her health had gotten and to understand what she was dealing with she was always lending a helping word. And every time I see a dog picture I think of her. She loved animals. Peggy you will be misses and were loved by all. God has a true angel in you. |

My dearest Peggy. How I will miss you. Your laugh was infectious. You would help anyone who needed it, even if that person needed the shirt off your back more than you did. I will miss your posts and our chats. The only solace I have right now is that you are no longer in pain. Lyle and I will be there in spirit at your burial. We will help your children and husband anyway we can. Our love to you dear sweet one. May you rest in peace. You will be missed by many. |

Brian, Kaitlin, Kristen, Colin, Dillon & Dustin. My heart goes out to each and everyone of you. I will be with you today in spirit today, I wish I could be there in body. I just cannot wrap my mind around that your mom (wife) - is gone... I admired how much your mother gave of herself. Like Jule said - the shirt off her back if needed; Peggy gave great advice to my C.J. and helped him monetarily - even when she had nothing to give... I was so happy to be able to see the girls again in April and meet Brian and Colin... I believe are wrapped in the arms of Jesus now Peggy... free whole and pain-free. To Brian and the rest of her family, I am so saddened and shocked to learn about the passing of my good friend Peggy Hall, (Stauffer). I met Peggy back in 1992 or 1993 and became very good friends with her for many years. I am extremely sorry for your loss as I too feel a great loss with her passing. Peggy and I used to go line dancing together all the time in Bullhead City and her children at the time, Dustin, Dillon, were pretty small, in fact Kaitlin was born later, and a small child the last time I saw Peggy. I realize that Peggy has had multiple health issues over the years but during the time I was around her daily she never let them interfere with living her life to the fullest. I reconnected with Peggy again when you moved to Florida and then onto Wisconsin. Living so far apart made it difficult to actually spend time together so we spoke for hours on the phone. Peggy has always been a wonderful, fun, giving person that cared deeply about her family and friends and that is how I will remember her because for myself and I am sure many others she will never die.
