Circle Sanctuary, its Community, and its Land, Circle Sanctuary Nature Preserve are engaged in a variety of environmental endeavors, including ecological restoration, environmental education, and climate action.
Climate Week & Global Climate Strike: September 20-27, 2019
- In Wisconsin, Circle Sanctuary Ministers are among the speakers at Interfaith Gatherings in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday, September 20. Rev. Selena Fox is speaking at the First United Methodist Church gathering & Rev. Florence Edwards-Miller is speaking at the Bethel Lutheran Church gathering.
- In California, Chaplain Charlotte Bear, a Climate Reality Leader, has been giving presentations & will be marking with the South Bay Climate Reality Chapter in the San Jose Climate Strike on Friday, September 20. She also will be supporting the Youth Climate Strike on September 23 in Santa Cruz. She has begun connecting with Extinction Rebellion on the coast as well. She has created a Climate Reality Handout.
- In California, Chaplain Andrew Bear, has been doing a fair amount of organizing around Climate Week & Strike. He will be participating in the Climate Strike on Friday, September 20 in San Jose. He also will be participating in a day of action on Monday, September 23 in Santa Cruz. He will be giving the sermon at a Methodist Church in San Jose on September 29 and will be talking about Earth Spirituality and the events of Climate Week. He also has joined with Extinction Rebellion in Santa Cruz.
