Make Room for Joy!  

At Spring Equinox, we emerge from the dark of winter to look outward to the world around us, awakening to the signs of renewal and growth.  Join us as we work with spring traditions and connect with herbs and plants to help us in our spiritual journey and sweep away that which needs to change within ourselves and our homes to make room for joy.

Schedule of Events

All activities take place in the Temple Room of the Barn unless otherwise noted, and activities planned for outdoors

may move indoors subject to weather.  Listen to the announcements!


9:00am Gate opens for arrivals.

9:30am Welcome Circle with Lisa

Gather for opening announcements about the day's events followed by Opening Circle.

10:00am Break

10:15am Spring Equinox Mindful Walk with Dennis Carpenter.

Take a mindful stroll through Circle Sanctuary land as we acknowledge the remaining aspects of winter, enjoy the emerging signs 

of spring, and appreciate the unique ecology of Circle Sanctuary. Our route will depend on land conditions and those taking part.

Techniques for enchancing mindful awareness in Nature will be utilized. Be prepared for standing and walking in any weather

conditions, including sturdy walking shoes and drinking water.

10:15am Wild Spring Edibles: Nourishing your Body and Invigorating your Spirit with Master Herbalist Rebecca Lingenfelter

Come and explore the magical and healing uses of early spring edible greens.  After winter, these greens are often

the first ones seen in the wild and in some yards.  These early wild greens are full of vitamins and help nourish the body.

10:15am Family Programming in the Summer Kitchen with Rev. Florence

11:15am Break

11:30am Community Egg Hunt!

Bring your basket and gather at the Maypole!  All ages are welcome and encouraged to join in the fun and prizes!

12:00pm Lunch - Spring Picnic!  (location TBD according to weather)

Please bring your own sack lunch and drinks and join us for community time around the table!  Please no peanut products!

The Resource Shop above the Temple Room will be open during lunch!

1:00pm Springtime Renewal & Rebirth with Rev. Selena Fox

Creating and working with spring imagery, ceremonies, chants, and customs for revitalizing self, healing from loss,

dispelling despair and stimulating growth and joy.  Bring a journal or notebook and pen for noting guidance and ideas.

Participation in this workshop is included with in-person registration.  Workshop also available through livestream via

2:30pm Spiritual Aspects of Spring-cleaning with Niki Evans Grattan and Rev. Meredith "Merrie" Beckman

Learn how to infuse your home cleaning routines with intention and energy, transforming mundane tasks into

meaningful rituals.  Your presenters will guide you through creating your own magical Florida water, demonstrate

its use in cleansing your energy, aura, and home, and offer blessings on your spring-cleaning tools.  Niki is a Circle

Santuary member with a passion for integrating spirituality into everyday practices.  Merrie is also a Circle Sanctuary

member with expertise in holistic wellness and energy work, focusing on harmonizing the mind, body, and spirit.

Please bring a broom or other spring-cleaning tool!

3:30pm Break and Ritual Preparations

4:00pm Welcome Spring Ritual with Lisa and Rev. Judith

Join us as we emerge from the introspection, rest and isolation of the winter season and look outward to the world

around us, sweeping away any obstacles in our path to joy!  Bring your brooms or other spring-cleaning tools!

5:30pm Clean-up and Final Departures

The day is not done until the last task is complete.  Teamwork makes the dream work and builds community.  Please

stay to help with take down and clean-up!

TO BRING:

  • A broom (or dust mop - even a Swifter!) to be blessed and return home with you.
  • A notebook or journal and pen to take notes at workshops.
  • A sack lunch for you and your family - please, no peanut products due to severe airborne allergies!
  • Your own drinking container for water, coffee, or tea.  
  • Separate pair of shoes or slippers to wear in the Temple Room to keep the floor dry and free of mud.
  • Appropriate outdoor clothing as some events will be held outside.

WHAT NOT TO BRING:

  • Unregistered people
  • Pets
  • Firearms or fireworks
  • Alcoholic beverages

Cancellation Policy:  Written cancellations with refund requests received five days before the event will be issued after the event, less 15% fee for processing.  No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less that 5 days before the start of the event.
