Embracing the Light Within

Winter Solstice is an opportunity for you to honor all that you are, all that you’ve become this year, and all that you have. Today we will pause and gaze back at your year and allow the returning light of Solstice to light your path, bringing renewal and inspiration to you as you move forward in this new cycle to come.

Cancellation Policy: Written cancellations with refund requests received five days before the event will be issued after the event, less a 15% processing fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than five days before the start of the event.

9:30am – Gates Open for Arrival

Enjoy some wassail, hot chocolate, coffee or tea! Meet new friends! Visit our Resource Shop!

10:00am – Opening Circle with Rev. Sharon in the Temple Room

Daylight has dwindled, let’s use this day to honor this deep, sacred darkness as we embrace the light within us all and prepare to welcome back the light!

10:30am - Meditation & Crafting Luminaries with Rev. Sharon & others in the Temple Room

Winter Solstice is a great time to reflect on the past year and start thinking about what you would like for the next year. During our meditation we will sit back, reflect, and consider what we want the next year to look like. Focusing on the inner light that guides and strengthens us. Following the meditation, we will craft luminaries to help light our way forward.

10:30am Mindful Winter Solstice Nature Walk with Dennis Carpenter

Be inspired for the new Solar Year as we walk a path through Circle Sanctuary at this time of Winter Solstice. Dress appropriately for the weather, bring something to drink, and meet outside the barn.

Family Programming - TBD

Noon – Community Candlelight Lunch

Soup and bread will be provided. Please bring whatever else you need to supplement your lunch. Please no peanut products.

1:30pm - Sacred Lights of Winter Solstice with Selena Fox

Explore some ritual and meditative ways of working with candle flames, bonfires, Sunlight, and inner illumination at Winter Solstice time for inspiration, healing, renewal, and community connections. Bring a white candle in a votive glass to kindle during the workshop. Also bring a journal and pen to note guidance and ideas.

3pm – Gift Exchange in the Temple Room

Bring a wrapped gift for exchange, get a wrapped gift!

4pm – Ritual & Burning of the Yule Log at Community Fire with Rev. Sharon

As the longest night gives way to light, we will focus on our inner lights and our capacity to grow and transform.

5pm – Final Departures

An event isn’t complete until everything is cleaned up and put back in place. Please join our hard-working volunteers with clean-up! Safe journeys and see you at Imbolc!

TO BRING:

Your own personal drinking container for water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, wassail

A sack lunch supplement if needed to go along with provided soup lunch. Please no peanut products due to severe airborne allergies.

Journal/notebook and pen for not taking.

Food donations for our charity food drive for the Barneveld Area Food Pantry

Warm winter clothing, boots, hats, mittens for the events that are outside.

Separate pair of shoes to wear inside the Temple Room and farmhouse.
